Rutgers Online Learning Conference: March 12, 2018


We are very pleased to announce our 2018 Rutgers Online Learning Conference, scheduled to take place March 12, 2018.  Attracting hundreds of attendees each year, this popular conference serves as a cross-disciplinary forum for the exchange of information on research, development, and applications of all topics related to online, hybrid, and techology assisted face-to-face learning. Past presentations have included discussions and demonstrations of available and emerging technologies, use of various Learning Management Systems, ancillary software and sites, new instructional paradigms and pedagogical methods, assessments, virtual worlds, audio/video elements, faculty training and resources, and more.


Titled “Collaborate,” the 2018 Rutgers Online Learning Conference committee encourages you to submit Presentation Proposals that fall into one of the following tracks:

  1. Student engagement and retention

  2. Program management and administration

  3. Accessibility and Universal Design

  4. Pedagogy and Instructional Design

  5. Assessment and evidence-based learning

  6. Teaching with Technology


Submission deadline for Presentation Proposals has been extended! Please submit by January 17, 2018.


The Conference is designed for:

  • Faculty and students in ALL disciplines

  • Departmental pedagogical support coordinators

  • Technology support coordinators

  • Department and program chairs

  • Program Administrators

  • Anyone charged with increasing workplace performance through the use of online learning technologies

Conference Presentations should be c. 45 minutes in length

Presentation Proposals must include:

  • Presenter Name, Title, and Short Bio - No more than 2 presenters

  • Presenter CV, and Profile Picture

  • Presentation Title

  • Presentation Detail

  • Presentation Summary: 150 words or less for potential inclusion in conference materials

  • Selection of a Designated Topic Area/Track to Aid in Scheduling of Sessions

  • Selection of intended audience

  • 3 Keywords that capture the essence of the presentation. To Be Selected from the Keyword List Below

After proposal acceptance, presenters will receive a discount code for reduced registration fees.
